Chiropractic is the only profession that concerns itself with the detection and correction of spinal subluxations. As previously discussed in other articles that I have written those subluxations may result from mental, physical or chemical stresses.

healthy familyWhen functioning correctly, your body is constantly and appropriately adapting to stress which can arise out of things like your job, pollution, the genes you’ve inherited, poor posture, or any one of the many parts that make up your day to day life.

The extent to which stress is an integral part of all our lives, for better and worse is amazing. However, as you are probably aware, there are limits to what we can cope with. When you cross that line, the body’s adaptive processes start to break down and spinal subluxations may occur or, if already present, add to stress and detract from your adaptive capacity.

corrected, ensuring the proper development, function and adaptation of the body. It is especially important for children to be checked regularly because they are still developing. If negative patterns are laid down during growth, their potential throughout life may be severely compromised.

A recent survey of over 2800 long-term chiropractic patients discovered something fascinating. People who received regular chiropractic care reported ongoing improvement in health, well-being and quality of life. Those patients were not receiving care because they were sick, but because they wanted to be their best. The longer they received chiropractic care the higher their level of health. These results open the door to the question, “what limits are there to optimizing our physical and mental well being when the effects of spinal subluxations are minimized?”
